Video Poker allows you to enjoy the excitement that comes from a game of poker without having to compete against other players. The player stakes between 1 and 5 coins on each hand and the clicks the button marked DEAL. He then receives five cards and can choose to hold as many or as few of these as he likes before pressing DRAW. Cards that have been held will be retained, but all others will be replaced. The objective of the game is for the player to make the best poker hand as he can. The higher a hand is ranked, the more the player wins.
All traditional poker hands are awarded a prize with the exception of the high card and pair. On all machines, a DOUBLE UP option at the end of each winning hand gives you the opportunity to risk your winnings in an attempt to double them. If you take this opportunity you will be show a dealer's card and four face-down cards. Choose one of the face down cards and if it is higher that the dealer's card you will win. If it is lower, you will lose. And, of course, if it is of the same value as the dealer's card then you will tie and keep your original prize. If you win a DOUBLE UP then you will be given the chance to DOUBLE UP again.
